The southwest Virginia town of Lebanon got an economic boost when two high-tech companies moved in - making it an attractive site for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama to bring his messages of hope and change.

- This story made me sick, but some of the comments are worse. It is all well and good for people to say, "oh you should have reported this, and done this, or that," when the truth is you are traumatized and not thinking clearly.

- I am very pleased about Obama's win, but I am sad to see McCain in this position. He should have been the nominee in 2000, not Bush. Still, McCain made some bad choices, including letting his handlers force him to pick Palin.

- A great article. I too have a birthmark on my face. It is on the left side of my nose, above and on my lip on the left side and also on the left side of my face near my hair line. Mine is more a stawberry rather than a port wine.

- I am so glad the Navy allowed this young man to fulfill his grandfather's last wish. Reading it makes me want to cry. Thank goodness for those brave men and women. I applaud each and every one of you and pray that future generations may never have to send their soldiers in  harms way.

- I live in VA and if this person wants to run their business this way that is fine because it is acceptable by law (at the moment). I would never go to this establishment though because I disagree with their philosophy. That is the wonder of the U.S. I don't have to go there if I don't want to.

- I am happy to hear Obama is in Lebanon. I am originally from SWVA and it is good to see a presidential candidate take a real interest in VA and the great things happening in that particular town. More comes out of SWVA than coal and I for one resent the comment in the article about coal.
